Meet Bobbi

I am Bobbi Eskes.  I have been married to Shane for almost 18 years.  We have 3 sons, Matt age 16, Zachary age 13, and Shawn age 11.  I work part-time at Lakewood Photo in Holland and am thoroughly enjoying that.  I enjoy working at Into The Woods Retreat as it is a beautiful place to gather with friends and enjoy a favorite hobby and meet new people.  I am thankful for the opportunity to serve others at the retreat. My hobbies include scrapbooking, card making, photography, and selling Thirty-One Gifts products.

Meet Jackie

My name is Jackie DeJongh and I'm married and have two little girls ages 4 and 1. When I'm not being a mom or working I enjoy sewing, knitting, reading, and baking. I enjoy all the seasons  of Michigan but I especially love winter. My favorite thing about Into the Woods would have to be preparing all the delicious meals and treats that ITW is famous for!

Hi all!  My name is Mercedes Saurbaugh and I am the owner of Into the Woods Retreat.  I am married, and have 2 young boys.  When I am not at the retreat I am working as a therapist at Bethany Christian services, having fun with friends and family, playing outside, or at the gym.  I like to scrapbook, bike, travel, and organize fun girls nights!  My favorite thing about the retreat is the relaxing enviornment.  No matter how stressful my day is, I feel better when I walk in the front door.  Based on the reactions of the guests, I think it is love at first sight for them too!

Spring is in the air, but we all know it's a few weeks off.   Sometimes March can feel like the longest month of all.   It's wet and muddy without much to do, but pine for the Spring.  Well, how about adding some FUN to your dull March at Into The Woods Retreat?  We have Openings for the weekend of March 25 -27, 2011.  Chase those doldrums away with some of these options.

Friday 2:00-midnight:

Friday-Saturday (24 hour crop- Friday 2:00-Saturday 2:00)

Saturday- Sunday (24 hour crop- Sat. 2:00 - Sunday 2:00)

weekend does not include snacks and beverages. There will be space store your own if needed. Check-in/Check-out can not be "changed" for this weekend due to events at the retreat.

Cozy and Warm

It has been a long winter.  One of the things I love about being at Into The Woods Retreat is being inside, looking out!  It's just so beautiful here over looking the Pigeon River.  As I sit with a cup of hot Hazelnut/Cinnamon coffee in my hands, the creativity flows freely.  It's no wonder why we are a hot-spot for crafting retreats.

What you may not know, is that we are now open for day events.

This summer my parents will be celebrating 45 years of Marriage.  I'm thinking that the retreat will be the perfect place for their celebration party!

With the large-open floor plan we will be able to entertain a lot of guests, and because it will be summer, we can use the deck too.  More beautiful and airy than a Church basement and more personal and cost effective than a restaurant or banquet hall.  And as a bonus, the grounds are so beautiful we will be able to take amazing photos with the family.
